SIP — Structural Insulated Panel
🔹 SIP panel material (OSB):
The best standard is considered to be OSB-3 board with a thickness of 10–12 mm, made from softwood by pressing oriented wood strands under high pressure using moisture-resistant resins. It is moisture-resistant and meets environmental standards, with a formaldehyde emission class of E1 or lower.
🔹 Type and density of insulation:
Thermal insulation boards made of expanded self-extinguishing polystyrene EPS are used. An important criterion is its density — for walls, it should be at least 15–25 kg/m³ to ensure the required rigidity and thermal insulation.
🔹 Manufacturing method:
Layers of OSB-3 and EPS polystyrene (10×180×10) are bonded together using polyurethane adhesive and pressed under pressure in an industrial process.
